When material escapes from the carry-side of conveyor belts and ends up on the inside return strand of the belt, it can cause damage and wear to important components such as Tail Pulleys, Take up Pulleys, and Carry Idlers. The ESS RBC™ is a return belt cleaner that is specifically designed to remove fugitive material and debris from the inner side of the return strand of a conveyor belt.

Efficient Cleaning

The ESS RBC™ has a durable urethane blade and interlocking blade wings for easy replacement. Its shovelnose cone ensures efficient belt cleaning across all widths.

Fabrication Options

Cleaner frames and pipes can be fabricated from standard mild steel or optional stainless steel.

Safety

The body of the conveyor is laser-cut to prevent weld failure, and a safety chain is included to protect the system.

Heavy-duty Unit

The ESS HD RBC™ is a heavy duty version of the RBC™, with similar design features but greater durability in all aspects. It is ideal for use with the largest and fastest conveyor belt systems currently in operation.

Filter Arrangement

The Filter Arrangement allows for flushing of the filter at the installation location, for easy cleaning.

  • How does it work?

    The RBC™ is normally located before the tail pulley; gravity take up, mid-drive unit or any other position where fugitive material can become trapped between the belt and pulley, causing damage or wear to the belt, pulley or pulley lagging. 


    The RBC™ is held lightly against the belt surface, and ‘floats’ with the belt movement, eliminating the ‘chatter’ commonly associated with gravity-type ‘V’ Ploughs. 


    The main feature of the ESS RBC™ is the unique urethane torsion strap suspension. This suspension arrangement allows pre-tensioning of the RBC™ onto the belt by simply rotating the support pipes. 


    By maintaining constant belt contact, the rugged polyurethane blade, with its unique shovelnose, can effectively remove even very fine material and water from the belt surface.
