The ESS HEAVY DUTY QUICK CHANGE IDLER FRAME Series is designed to allow the safe withdrawal of individual idlers from either side of the conveyor. This means it is less costly to maintain due to less manpower and materials and a quicker return to productivity. It is particularly valuable in areas where normal idler maintenance is made more difficult or hazardous due to elevated conveyors, conveyors over other moving.

The Heavy Duty Quick Change Idler Frame Series is robustly designed to ensure that the slide-out frame does not twist or topple. There are no pinch points, and the frame is stabilised which eliminates an operators contact with the belt, reducing manual handling risks.

The Heavy Duty Quick Change Idler Frame's dual RHS construction of the mainframe is 80% stronger than an inverted 125EA8 angle frame typically used.
As the members are continuous with no welded joints in the span, means that the frame will resist bending or distortion that would compromise the sliding action.

How does it work
The Heavy Duty Quick Change Idler Frame Series lays flat to remove the idler, disengaging it from the belt. This reduces the effort needed to slide the idler out for replacement.
The Heavy Duty Quick Change Idler Frame Series has a wide opening even in confined spaces the roller can be removed easily even if the frame is partially withdrawn. When installing the replacement idler, the belt does not need to be lifted which reduces manual handling risks. There are no catch points or sharp edges for the sliding action to bind on. The curved wrap-around slide and flat top allow for generous clearances to be used with little resulting freeplay in the roller frame. Reduced withdrawal effort with no catching reduces hazards involved in a roller change out.
The Heavy Duty Quick Change Idler Frame Series is made for 1200 – 3000mm conveyors and most heavy duty applications. If excessive air flows are present (air velocity greater than 1 m/sec), contact ESS for advice on air control measures.
