Easy to install
The ESS 3000 Heavy Duty Skirting System utilises individual skirt clamps that are bolted or welded to the chute wall and offers variable mount centres and installation heights, ensuring flexibility in installation. The skirt clamp can also be supplied welded to prefabricated backing plates for further simplified installation.

The skirting segments allow for easy adjustment and economical replacement in high wear areas rather than replacing the entire skirting system. The skirting system can be customised to suit specific applications.

ESS 3000 Heavy Duty Skirting System components are manufactured in 304 stainless steel (316 available on request) and has no threaded fasteners making it ideal for corrosive environments.
Easy to maintain
The purpose-designed ESS 3000 Heavy Duty Skirting System seal allows adjustment of the skirt seal up and down by raising or lowering the clamp bracket. This design allows for adjustment without disassembly of skirt clamp components. Adjusting the individual skirt clamps utilises a hammer-in, hammer-out engagement and adjustment system for ease of maintenance.
Safety Features
The ESS 3000 HD components are heavy duty but lightweight to avoid manual handling issues. The clamp is retained in the mounting bracket, allowing only vertical movement, ensuring it cannot rotate and come in contact with the belt. The clamp is also designed so it cannot be removed from the lowest position, ensuring it cannot accidentally fall away. A serrated captive wedge (or cotter) ensures skirt clamp remains secure under vibration.
How does it work
The ESS 3000 HD is a conveyor belt skirt sealing system consisting of a clamping assembly and a rubber or polymer seal. The clamping system comprises a clamp retainer that can bolt or weld to the chute wall, a clamp bracket that holds the seal against the chute wall and a captive wedge (or cotter) that applies the force onto the clamp bracket. ESS 3000 HD Series Skirt Clamp System attaches to the outside of the conveyor belt load zone to provide an effective seal and prevent material loss and dust emissions. The design of the retainer and clamp allows guided vertical movement, but restricts the clamp from being able to rotate, removing the risk of the clamp rotating and presenting a sharp edge to the belt surface.
Skirting Options
The ESS 3000 HD Skirting system is able to use a variety of skirting options.
- The 350 mm urethane blocks are designed to combat uneven wear by allowing change-out of individual, short skirting segments at high-wear points. The dove-tailed to ensure segments act as a single, secure seal, preventing dust escaping through joints.
- The 3-metre urethane skirting has all the benefits of the 350 mm skirting blocks, in a longer length. Other urethane lengths are available by request.
- An optional spacer allows the skirt clamp to be fixed vertically, enabling vertical adjustment of the skirt rubber itself, rather than the skirt clamp.
- An almost unlimited variety of rubber skirting profiles, including most common medium-heavy duty sections from 10-22 mm thick (for thicknesses outside this range, contact ESS).
