GuardaSeal Sealing Support System
If a conveyor is not properly supported - if it sags between idlers - the forces of loading will create spillage at the transfer point. Gaps between the belt and skirting system will develop allowing fines and dust to escape.
This fugitive material is expensive to clean up, and worse, it can build up on conveyor components where it can wear idlers, seize bearings and become entrapped in pinch points to gouge the belt.
GuardaSeal Belt support system holds the belt in a position to allow effective sealing. By minimising belt vibration and sag, the GuardaSeal System reduces the potential of material escape.
Side Rail installation improves belt stability
Installed as side rails underneath the belt, GuardaSeal Bars maintain a stable, sag-free belt, even in the face of strenuous loading. This reduces the escape of fugitive materials and therefore reduces the risk of damage to the belt and other conveyor components.
The GuardaSeal should be installed between the idlers underneath the loading point as far down the conveyor line as is required to stabilise the belt. In loading zones with high levels of material impact the GuardaSeal Support System should be installed downstream from any energy-absorbing ESS GuardaBelt Impact Cradle, to provide maximum stability.
Unique 'H' design means extended life
Manufactured from rugged UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) Polyurethane, GuardaSeal Bars provide a low friction self-lubricating surface for the belt to skim over without heat build-up or undue wear on the surface of the belt or bar.
The low co-efficient of friction between a GuardaSeal Bar and a moving conveyor belt means installation can be completed without requiring increase in the power of the conveyor in most occasions.
GuardaSeal Barsare designed in a unique 'H' configuration, which allows use of both top and bottom surfaces. WHen the top side is worn, simply turn the bar over and reinstall, provided double wearlife.
GuardaSeal Sealing Support System is supplied with an adjustable mounting frame that fits any application and any belt troughing angle. The bars come in standard 1200mm sections, although custom lengths to match the specifications of industrial conveyors are available.
