ESS is known for its Philosophy of Total Material Control, Design & Manufacture of quality components using State-Of-The-Art Computer assisted technology. ESS manufactures under licence to Martin Engineering of the United States, and is the sole distributor for Australia and the South Pacific. The market segments that ESS services are Mining, Ship Loading, Power Stations, Food Processing, Quarries, Cement Plants, Coke Works, Steel Works, Fertiliser Processing and Foundries or any other industry requiring material control.

6. ABOUT THE COMPANY:

ESS commenced operations in Wollongong, Australia in 1978. Initially it was a two person concern, primarily marketing bulk flow aid devices such as air cannons and vibrators manufactured by Martin Engineering in the United States.

In 1979 ESS became the exclusive licensed manufacturer of Martin Engineering for Australia and the South Pacific.

Success with these products led to the introduction of other Martin products such as conveyor belt cleaners and skirting Systems. Rapid growth resulted and in 1985, the company moved its headquarters and manufacturing facility to Currumbin.

The company currently employs 98 people Australia wide and now has a second manufacturing facility in Perth.

In addition to the manufacturing operations, sales offices have been established in many key areas around Australia and New Zealand. ESS has exported its products to countries such as New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, India, Israel, Japan, New Caledonia, Europe and Vietnam.

ESS has grown to the stage where it is now providing substantial product R & D for its original licensor Martin Engineering. New agreements are being negotiated with Martin to enable ESS to take a lead role in Asia.

7. CAPABILITIES:

Both manufacturing facilities are fully equipped with welding, turning, punching, bending, cutting and drilling equipment. In addition they have their own fully equipped paint shops.
ESS also uses State-Of-The-Art Laser cutting technology.

All ESS Offices are equipped with fully fitted out service vehicles and are comprehensively stocked with spare parts and a range of consumable products. This enables ESS to supply complete on-site servicing and full back-up for its products and projects.

8. QUALITY & SAFETY:

ESS is Quality accredited to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 & Safety to AS/NSZ 4801:2001. Certification is through SGS ICS Registered No 946/97 & 06/2982. As well as being governed by our quality accreditation, all our products are manufactured to the relative industry standards.
